HI!, My name is Mike Taylor and I have been interested in photography for many years now. I started serious photography way back in the late 70s mainly taking sport and action photographs. Back then I used Canon film cameras along with a Bronica for studio and portrait photographs. I still use Canon although things have changed into the digital age.
I use Canon DSLR cameras with various lenses varying from 500mm to 15mm. I also use a variety of compact cameras for just "sticking" in your pocket along with a couple of underwater housings for diving
My main interest now is wildlife and especially birds. I travel around with my wife Jan to places in the UK plus some wonderful places abroad each year. So far our recent travels have taken us to Africa, Indonesia and Central and South America. Future plans include Brazil and Madagascar
The list will keep growing as will the amount of pictures in here we hope.
We are both Qualified Scuba divers with experience in the Caribean, Indian Ocean and Komodo National Marine Park.
I now live in London with Jan having moved there from leafy Buckinghamshire
The down side of London life is the general lack of garden wildlife. Yes we do have a resident fox whereas in Buckinghamshire we had badgers and foxes most nights plus frquently deer (which were not really welcome). Also now we have pigeons, pigeons and yes you guessed pigeons and in Bucks everything else. We are trying here in the garden with feeders, tables etc but if they are around the smaller birds cannot get into the feeders due to the flocks of pigeons.
Please enjoy this selection of photographs, Comments are always welcome so please feel free to do so.
